Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

This model focuses on improving emotional regulation and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

 

Emotionally Focussed Therapy

EFT approaches include elements of experiential therapy, systemic therapy, and attachment theory. EFT is usually a short-term treatment.

Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

This evidence-based treatment model is designed to assist children, adolescents, and their families in overcoming the negative effects of a traumatic experience.

Internal Family Systems

This model helps to develop techniques and strategies to effectively address issues within a person’s internal community or family.

 

Psychosomatic Therapy

Psychosomatic Therapy focuses on the analysis of the body-mind, through the relationship between the language of Bodymind communication. It is the Soul communicating its human physical experience.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing):

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. By using guided eye movements, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful memories and reduce the emotional impact they have on your present life. It's a proven approach for treating PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related symptoms, helping you find relief and move forward with renewed mental clarity. An approach to therapy that can help you cope with difficult emotions and combines approaches like mindfulness, emotional regulation and acceptance.

Brainspotting:

Brainspotting is a cutting-edge therapeutic technique that taps into your brain's natural ability to heal. By identifying specific "brainspots" related to emotional distress, the therapist helps guide you through processing unresolved trauma and difficult emotions. This method works directly with the brain-body connection to release deep-seated pain, offering a path to emotional healing and improved mental well-being.

 

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy

An approach to therapy that can help you cope with difficult emotions and combines approaches like mindfulness, emotional regulation and acceptance.

Narrative Therapy

Seeks to help individuals identify their values and skills associated with them and provides you with knowledge of your ability to live these values to effectively confront current and future problems.

Working with a therapist, you'll learn skills to cope with the issues that you’re currently facing in your life. Must be 16+.

Sliding Scale Available and dependent on your life circumstances, please discuss with your counsellor.

Working with a therapist, you'll learn skills to solidify your relationship, such as: Open communication. Problem-solving.

Please contact me for current rates and availability. Rate is dependent on the size of the group and the length of presentation requested. 50% of payment must be made one week prior to presentation and paid in full therefore after.

FAQs

 

Cancellation and Late Policies

Sessions must be cancelled no later than 48 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment. Sessions cancelled less than 48 hrs are subject to 50% of the session fee and no shows subject to the full session fee. Late appointments will still end at session time. If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late please notify your counsellor.

Payment Methods

Payment methods: Debit, Credit or E-transfer. Full Payment is due directly after your session unless previously discussed and agreed upon with your counsellor.

Receipting

A receipt is provided following payment for reimbursement by your insurance provider. Please review your insurance plan or contact your service provider to ensure your session can be covered and/or at what percentage rate. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate coverage.
